        The main work of the AC contactor is to switch on and off the circuit of the consumer. The reason why two kinds of contacts are used is to reduce the damage caused by the arc caused by the instant of on and off, and extend the life of the main contact. Auxiliary contact replacement is easier and cheaper. (The time difference between the main and auxiliary contacts moving separately is small, so it will not affect the electrical work.

        For example, when the auxiliary contact is closed, the auxiliary contact is first drawn through a small current, and when the main contact is closed, no large arc is generated. When disconnected, the main contact is opened first. At this time, the auxiliary contact still has current flowing through it. When the main auxiliary is disconnected, no large arc will be generated.

        1.Working principle of AC contactor:

        When the coil is energized, the static iron core generates electromagnetic attraction and pulls the moving iron core. Because the contact system is linked with the moving iron core, the moving iron core drives the three moving contacts to run simultaneously, and the contacts are closed, thereby turning on. power supply. When the coil is powered off, the suction force disappears, and the moving iron core linkage part is separated by the reaction force of the spring, so that the main contact is disconnected and the power is cut off.

        2. Selection of AC contactor:

        (1) Continuously operating equipment. Contactors are calculated according to 67-75%. That is, 100A AC contactors can only control equipment with a maximum rated current of 67-75A.

        (2) Equipment that operates intermittently. The contactor is calculated as 80%. That is, a 100A AC contactor can only control equipment with a maximum rated current below 80A.

        (3) Equipment that works repeatedly for short periods of time. Contactor is calculated as 116-120%. That is, the 100A AC contactor can only control equipment with a maximum rated current of 116-120A.
